Getting started with the Telegraph's Preflight & Delivery Facility - PC user

These instructions step you through the process to install the Preflight & Delivery Facility icon onto your desktop. This need only be installed the first time you use this service.

Once the Preflight & Delivery Facility icon is on your desktop, you simply drag-and-drop all advertisements onto the icon to start the preflighting process at anytime, both now and in the future.

Downloading and installing these two applications is a ONE TIME ONLY PROCESS, and will take just a few minutes.

  • Step 1: Please print these instructions (Use your browser's print button)
  • Step 2: Check the minimum specification requirement click here
  • Step 3: Start the download of the 1.5 Mb client click here
  • Step 4: Get started - use the icon now installed on your desktop.

 
 


 
Step 2: Minimum system requirements
  • Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.
  • 300MHZ processor.
 
Step 3: Downloading and configuring the Telegraph's Preflight & Delivery Facility software

 

Download the Preflight & Delivery Facility Here1. Download the Pre-Flight Checking rules (Preflight & Delivery) by clicking here.

2. A "File Download" dialog appears. Choose "Run the program from its current location" to start the install and click OK, or if you get "Would you like to open the file or save it to your computer?" choose "Open" to start the install. If a Security Warning dialog appears asking if you want to install and run "Telegraph Preflight & Delivery Setup.exe", choose "Yes". A progress bar indicates the starting of Preflight & Delivery Facility setup.

3. Click Next on the Welcome dialog box.

4. Click Next on the Choose Destination Location dialog box.

5. Click Finish to end the Setup.

6. The Preflight & Delivery Facility software is now installed.

7. Double Click on the Preflight & Delivery Facility icon on the desktop. You will see the following window. Click on the "Browser" button.

8. In the dialog below, navigate to "C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer". Highlight "IEXPLORE.EXE" and then click Open.

9. Quit your browser.
 
Step 4: Getting Started
 

You are now ready to go to the desktop and drag and drop an advertisement file on the Preflight & Delivery Facility icon you have installed there.

Please use this process for all advertisements to be checked in the future.
